Design Challenge

My task was to revamp the landing page of our mobile app by utilizing the available Sitecore components. The goal is to improve user engagement, boost conversions, and ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new users.

As the product designer for this project, I worked collaboratively with the content designers on my team to enhance the overall user experience by redesigning the mobile app page layout to effectively
  1. Encourage users to download the Rocket Mortgage mobile app
  2. Establish creditbility and user confidence
  3. Communicate the main value proposition of the app

Hero Design Explorations

To kick off the design process, I explored various styles for the hero section with the goal of creating a distinctive design. The focus was on showcasing the current mobile screen and prominently featuring the Rocket Mortgage app logo at the top of the landing page to ensure consistent brand recognition.

Bottom Content Layout Explorations

Continuing my design explorations, I crafted layouts for the content below the hero section, focusing on showcasing the app's key features. I added appealing visuals, including high-quality images of satisfied users for a trustworthy vibe. To prompt user action, I placed two "Download Now" buttons, ensuring it guides users directly to the app store. Positive testimonials were included to build trust, and notable ratings or downloads were highlighted to boost credibility.

Hero

The hero section is the first thing users see on the page, and on some devices, it could be the only thing visible. It's crucial to make this section interesting to encourage users to scroll down and discover more.

Final Option

I finalized the hero section by including a QR code for users to download the app, promoting the use of the QR code for a convenient download experience.

Content Layout

I aimed to instill trust and confidence in clients while navigating the Rocket Mortgage mobile app page, encouraging them to download. I played around with various approaches, experimenting with different layouts and priorities. Here are a couple of my explorations.

Final Option

In this option, we've arranged content from highest to lowest priority, starting with a focus on the app's features, followed by statistics, testimonials, and a dedicated section for users to download the app at the bottom of the page.

Final Solutions

In this project, I collaborated with the content designers on my team to align Rocket's objectives with an improved user experience. Together, we ensured that information was presented in a visually appealing yet straightforward manner to keep users engaged and encourage them to download the app, reducing the likelihood of them leaving the page. I refreshed our old landing page by incorporating current mobile app design screens shared by our mobile team, experimenting with elements like current Sitecore components, pictograms, images, and icons, simplifying the design for variety in each section.

Due to the time and Sitecore constraints, I believe there's room for further improvement. In the future, my goal is to enhance this design by incorporating animations and incorporating additional components into Sitecore for greater flexibility.
